Church of St. Joseph at 9, Avenue Victor Hugo,
The church is facing the covered marketplace in the town centre.
The market hall (Les Halles), is well signposted from around the city and only a short walk from the beach.
Free city hop-on bus: Known as the “navette du Centre Ville” you can board at any stop and ask to get off at the “Market Hall” stop. Walk through the market and the church is facing the main entrance to the market hall. We meet in the chapel on the left behind the altar at the back end of the church.
Directions on foot: On entering the church’s main door from the street, walk the length of the church, cross the transept and you’ll find us in the chapel to your left behind the altar
If you find the front church doors are locked, walk up the main street (Avenue Victor Hugo) and enter the church rear entrance via the church private car park (through the large white double gate). If you are driving park your car in the church-yard and enter the church through the open door on your right, continue straight ahead through two doorways, cross the transept of the main church behind the altar and enter the chapel straight ahead. We will be there in the chapel.
Our English service will begin at 11 am, after the French catholic service in the main church ends…until then please wait quietly in the church yard.
PARKING : The church has its own car park in the church-yard, with access up the street just after the ‘Presse’ (book & papershop) with a yellow sign. The entrance is through white double gates that will be open from 10.30am or before. The street is one-way so if you miss the white gates you will have to drive around the market hall again.
